The world could do without this game.

This game was...horrible. It doesn't even deserve a 1. Like all my reviews I'll go in depth to the key factors of a successful game.

Graphics. This, and sound, is the only reason a 1 would be achieved. The graphics are well made for a psp game, and animations could do with a little work. The storyline cutscenes are poorly made and half the time you have no idea whats going on until one of the characters specifies what they are doing. Graphics :1/10.

Gameplay. It is truly horrible. Guys want a strategy guide? square, square, square, square. That's all you gotta do, except at the end there's a little requirement that you gotta use an Ultimate Technique. Joy. You CAN actually try to fight, but the AI is so horrible, it's not really rewarding. Gameplay : 0/10 Basically unenjoyable.

Storyline. Basically, it's telling a story from the original Dragon Ball Tv series. The twist, it is completely inaccurate. Set in the wrong time period, Goku was raised by Master Roshi, and Goku was a child when he fought King Piccolo. Fans of the series will be largely disappointed by both the game and movie. Storyline : Half a point. It's a pathetic retelling of a good tale.

Sound. It's less than average, and most of the time I had my psp on mute due to it. Punches and kicks sound fake, and the sound used for attacks like kamehame wasn't true to it's original sound from other games. Sound : 1/10

This is an experiment gone wrong. I truly regret playing this game, and I wouldn't recommend this game to a person I disliked.

Easy and Cheesy

This game really is a step back for the DB game franchise. First of all, it really is too easy. I was getting 'Awesome's and I wasn't even looking at the screen! Second, the story is just too cheesy, and feels like a bad translation. I have not seen the movie, and maybe they actually do have lines as weird and out of place as this game does. So that would make this a moot point. I will admit that there is some bias concerning that I was a fan of Dragon Ball in the past. And anyone who's seen this movie or even just some trailers of it, know that it skewered the DB storyline and turned it into another silly 'coming of age' film with some martial arts and magic thrown in.

Now, the game has very little voice acting, for which I am very thankful. The music really isn't all that great and fails to inspire any sort of intensity or emotion. The loading times aren't too bad, so that's a plus. The battle system doesn't feel very polished and moves kind of sluggish.

There's really not much else to say about this game, definitely rent it first, cause even if the movie was your thing, you probably will still not enjoy this mediocre entry into the PSP fighting genre.
