I have personally been following the development of this game for a year before its release, let me just say it was well worth the wait. To me this is exactly what an RPG should be, yeah I believe they could have expanded on some areas, like item creation. But overall this is an extremely balanced game. It also remembers what an RPG is all about...the freakin story! I was completely enthralled, counting down the minutes until I got off work so I could find out what happens next. I have just finished the game with about 60 hours of play time. I haven't felt that rewarding of an experience and accomplishment since I completed the 120 hour Tactics Ogre for PS1. This is a must buy for anyone who loves RPGs. Can't wait for the sequel!
The world of Dragon Age Origins is a very large and misterious one... for at least two throughs. The game is great to charactor development inviornments and story but it misses alot of the playing feel after a couple go throughs fo one the story seemed to... short for my taste to a BioWare game honestly it seems like thers only a day or so of game play when the developers said there would be at least 80 hours of MAIN gameplay. This was not the case. Also at its disadvantage with a lousy review was the online multiplayer thy said there would be. Honestly the tought of playing 80 or so hours with up to three freinds sounds like a bomb idea. Having a tank that can obsorb hit after hit after hit while having a mage call all of his area spells and an archer calling in wolfs to help out while a rouge stands by ready to attack from behind gets me interested. I was kinda disapointed when i got the game first went through nothing but story and only got about 20 hours of gameplay with out online. Next time you say something like that BioWare make sure it is true you disepointed your fans. All in all its still a great game if theres a sequal to this one make sure its longer with ONLINE co-op.
