This game is very good and has alot of depth in terms of everything you could want in an RPG. Compelling story, good characters, class-flexibility. The only problem is it feels EXACTLY like kotor and NWN2. After playing never winter nights 2 this game feels like a clone of it with less DnD source material. All in all an excellent game but if you have played bioware games before expect the same type of game with little new ground being broken.
My first thought on this game was there is way to much talking I got a little bored at first, but as I got futher into the game the story started to pick up a bit. The gameplay is good it plays just like the old KOTOR games if you've played those you'll be familiar with this games style. I am about 40 hours into the game and it has me wanting more so I am pleased with that it can be rough at times which is good, it's challenging which I enjoy, and most of the time it has an auto save feature that is nice but not always dependable I have lost hours of work so be sure to save frequently.
This game would get a lot higher score from me but there are quite a few glitches I know the Bioware fans will disagree with me and I am not knocking the game itself but sometimes you'll be in a battle and see a lot of rubberbanding or cutscense that go silent the mouths are moving just no words comming out, and it happens way to often, lets face it the graphics are ok but not great this kinda stuff should have been taking care of before launch, it's not really bad enough to toally ruin the experience of the game, but it's very noticable and annoying worst I have seen on the PS3 to be honest.
All and all though even with the glitches I would recomend this game if you enjoy a good story driven RPG, not sure it is game of the year material but it's worth playing and the downloadable content is nice. Plus it has good solid replay value in going off into a different story path with new characters and such seeing how things could have been different will be interesting.
