Dragon Dogma does so many things right, but is held back by small problems. The combat system is great and the skill upgrades help keep the game interesting throughout. The graphics are top notch in some areas, but some of the environments are a little bland. As great as this game is, the biggest problem with Dragon Dogma is the fact that there isn't a fast travel system. You can buy a Ferrystone, which costs a ridiculous amount of money, but other than that you're left to cross large stretches of land, where ultimately you are forced to walk back once you finish a quest. Dragon Dogma has some of the best boss battles I've ever played. The monsters are challenging and are easily the most memorable part of this game. Although Dragon Dogma was obviously influenced by similar games which came before it (Skyrim, Dark Souls) it's still a well done game. Some problems are minor, but there's still no excuse for being forced to walk everywhere. Still it's definitely worth a rent!
