Rented the PS3 game, Dragons Dogma, from Gamefly. Which is an awesome video game rental service.
Anyway, 20 minutes into the game and i'm bored. bored.bored.bore....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ oh sorry, dozed off there. yea it was that boring. You begin the game as some knightly Lord names Arisen, real original I know, anyway. you meet some people, meet some more people, kill some goblins and before long you reach this room where a Manticore attacks you. From here your followers will yell at you to do kill this kill that, let me heal you, blah, blah, blah. Kill the manticore, and hear a loud booming voice that blends into nothingness.
Welcome to the character creation screen, pretty basic setup.
Make character open on what looks like a fishing village full of merriment and business and two guards asking for help in slaying the awful dragon. enter dragon, exit guards running like a raped date. Take fallen sword, swipe dragon, enter cut scene where Dragon eats your heart. Blinding light and TA_DA.. your alive? Steal some weapons from your cos and spend the next 10 minutes running around doing the same old boring tasks that fill most of todays RPGs. If your new to the genre, Good game for noobs. If your an elitist, forget it. Like I said, bored in 20 minutes.
If you're looking for a good RPG a Better game than this would Be Dragon Age:Origins.
