Dragon's Dogma was one of the best games I had played in years - it was up in my list next to the Elder Scrolls series and a few other RPGs. The combat was excellent, the quests were clear, the character creation was very customizable and everything about the game was awesome. The final boss took me 9 hours to beat (because I died a few times - my party hated me) and it was exactly how EVERY final boss battle should be. Taking your time, surviving on the last of your life, epic cut scenes that were playable as well. LOVED this game, but what happened after the "final boss" really disturbed me and almost made me break my controller. I'm sure most others who have gotten past that point know my trauma. I'd like to replay the game and maybe take the remaining 40 hours to complete it.

Dragon's Dogma is a supreisingly fresh game that brings a interesting and new way to create a party of 4 people and brings a good combat system to rpgs. While the game is extremely fun and will consume many hours of your time there are several faults to the game.
-The AI in the game is terrible.
~Many times you will find your AI counterparts to be completely useless unless they have the correct presets selected to actually act upon the world. If you have a pawn that is set the guardian and your character happens to be a long range dps then that pawn will circle around your pawn waiting for something to come close while not actually doing anything.
-There is no fact travel in the game.
~While I can understand that they were trying to create a more immersive experience the no reliable fast ravel will really get to you after the 30th time running from Gran Soren to the Emcampment or from Gran Soren to the Bluemoon tower.
~ Until the very end there is virtually no story to speak of and the side quests are not necessarily good enough to compensate for it.
-Lack of lisyncing.
~It is really bad. So little time was spent on it that it;s noticable the instant a npc talks.
Why play Dragon's Dogma? Because the combat is extremely addictive and it'll hook you right away! Definately recommend the game.
