Game Description
Donkey Kong and his friends have located high-powered Barrel Rockets, so they do the only thing they can think to do - start a high-stakes racing tournament! Choose from a slew of playable characters, including Donkey Kong, Diddy, Dixie, and King K. Rool, and use the brand-new, Wii-exclusive controls to blast to the front of the pack! Shake the Wii Remote and Nunchuk to accelerate, and shake one or the other to turn left or right. Special moves, jumps, and attacks are all done with the push of a single button or a shake of the controller. Rocket forward and take out your adversaries using the Pineapple Gun on 16 different courses, or grab three friends for crazy four-player action!

What a waste of a game Donkey Kong Barrel Blast has become. Originally designed for the Nintendo GameCube DK bongo drum accessory, DK Barrel Blast moved over to Wii about the same time as Super Paper Mario, thus closing the book on Cube, and showing Nintendo's full support of the Wii. I like racing games and I like Donkey Kong games...I thought this game would be awesome. But, unfortunately, it falls short. The tracks are repetitive and the movements are strange. It's okay to play for a little bit but it gets tiring after a while. The replay value just isn't there.more
