First off, I was extremely surprised that a new release was available so soon (great job, Gamefly); I was thinking that I would be waiting weeks.

I didn't play anything else until I finished the game. After the introduction, becoming accustomed to the controls, and developing powers by the 2nd day of playing, I was hooked with no sign of letting go. The graphics were smooth & fresh, standing out from the routinely realistic fashion of other games (not that I mind but it's nice to have something different every now and then). Powers were well-suited and fit like puzzle pieces depending on how you prefer to play. You could be merciful and not kill a single person throughout the entire game which grants you the "Clean Hands" achievement, you could be relentless and hasty by ridding the game of all life, or play a mix of both (my playthrough). And the various combinations of how to conduct business throughout the world of Dunwall surpassed my expectations greatly! There are so many paths to get to your final destination, even if it may end the same.

While "Dishonored" surely lives up to its name, I was a bit frustrated that there was no end boss or fight after the second betrayal & backstabbing, if you're playing with low to no chaos. In fact, the last 2-3 levels were rather a bit easy to get through. I would've enjoyed a final confrontation against an experimental tallboy containing Havelock, Pembleton, & Martin (bigger than the rest), an ultimatum of some sort, or even a twist-of-fate intervention from the Outsider would have created a more interesting ending. To put it simply, the fight against Granny Rags was more climactic.
XXXXXX--- END - OF - SPOILER - ALERT ---XXXXXX

Despite that, it was one of the more memorable games of 2012 that I've been recommending to anyone and everyone. If there is a sequel, prequel, or spin-off, I'm there. I'm ready to explore more of Dunwall, its lore & beyond!
