At the first glance, Disgaea 3 is nothing special.

The graphics could be MUCH better...
The movements are very... retro..
And the character creation seems a little too complicated..

But if you press into the gameplay and start messing about with the different classes available, you will find over 10,000 possible team combinations, each of which could be perfect, or a perfect fail, depending on nothing more than your playing style.

I still have yet to find the level cap in this game, and with the Reincarnation ability through the homeroom, there is literally infinite replayability without the need for starting over completely!

Another wonderful aspect of this game is the fast that ALL NPCs of this game have stats, even if they never have a chance to battle... Even the shop owners, teachers.. Heck, your BUTLER has a level, and hp, atk, res, int, etc. If that isn't thorough, I don't know what is!

The in game music is truly amazing, and with the actual gameplay, the graphics, character animations, all of it combined: This game gives you a wonderful experience, while taking a look into a realm filled with demons and the people who teach them.

Taking a short look at what the story of this game is like: Revenge.
~Prince of the Netherworld plays video games for many many years (like 400,000 hrs).
~Overlord (prince's dad) 'accidentally' steps on the games.
~Prince swears revenge.

But it is how he goes about this revenge that makes the game quite the laugh! He joins up with a Hero and decides to BECOME a Hero, because in his games/anime/manga/comics/etc, ONLY a Hero can beat the Overlord.

To make things more interesting you have the Honor Students and the Delinquents. The Honor Students do exactly what the teachers want them to do: Skip class, fight, hurt people, break things... demon stuff... And the Delinquents, who: go to class, do volunteer work, clean the beaches, and dream of being nice.

10/10 Couldn't be better!
