I've played a few of Codemaster's games so when i saw that they had produced another one, I had to rent it. I was a bit skeptical at first, but I thought I'd give it a try
I'm a huge racing game fan (all the GranTurismos and NFS) and never really tried a dirt racing game... Dirt 2 managed to put what I loved about racing games into a dirt racer.
I gave it a 9 because it had limited customization opportunities. I love to be able to customize a car, from nothing to a full out racer, but this game doesn't really have that opportunity. You can upgrade your car's performance (Rookie, and Pro) and change the sponsors on the car, but thats it.
The racing aspect of it is fun, and after playing for 5 hours straight, i still can't wait to wake up tomorrow and play some more! The game puts real rally car drivers as your competitors, including Travis Pastrana and Dave Mirra. The game also lets you make a name for your driver in this start from the bottom and work your way up kind of game. I'm planning on buying this game its so much fun, and honestly most of the games I've played from Codemasters have replay value.
