I love this game so much because the story is so great and the graphics are incredible for a PS2 game. The story really captures you and it gets VERY dramatic VERY quickly when your party members begin to...well...I'm not going to spoil it for people who haven't played yet and you'll find out rather quickly what I was about to say anyway. A drawback that I simply CANNOT let go is the fact that you only have 8 slots to equip your skills even though you can learn FAR more than 8 skills. That is a drawback for the simple fact that, when engaged in battle with practically any and every boss, they use FAR more skills than 8 and that is completely unfair. The other drawback that really pisses me off, and probably everyone who's ever played this game, is the fact that once you get far in the game the bosses seem to have every single skill on the entire Mantra grid PLUS impossible abilities that give them more action turns that they use and never stop using when they are about to die AND they magically know your parties weaknesses even though they never scan you. Isn't it bad enough that the bosses get two turns already without them having the ability to use a turn to get more turns? If that's the case then they should just use the skill to give them more skills multiple times until they have 20 of them and just kill us. The point is that there should not be skills like that because after you beat the boss you aren't satisfied because you know that if they used their skills effectively then you would never win. Honestly, this game is great but it does some serious cheating.
