Digimon World Dawn for Nintendo DS Reviews by Gamers

Digimon World Dawn takes you into the world of digimon like never before. The best words to describe is like a Pokémon.

The game play over all is very smooth, some things are a little bothersome such as obtaining digimon through scan data which takes ages and slowly grows as you increase in rank. Whatever digimon you want you can pretty much find in Dawn depending if it is a dusk only type. In that aspect it is much like Pokémon. The level up system is a little more complex than most games, you get experience but it is in categories by digimon type and for some to digivolve you will need x amount of a certain type of experience.

The Story itself is rather good minus and the game does get a little repetitive as time goes on.

You may have a farm or two if you want in which you send digimon to level up and train while you go out and play the game. It is a little bothersome to have at first but as time goes on things seem to get easier as you up grade islands which take a large amount of bits.

As for replay value I believe there to be a large potential as you can have a different starting party to pick from each time you play. Which makes it much like the starting Pokémon in the Pokémon games.

Digivolving and Degenerating make the game all the more fun as you can obtain many skills and change digimon constantly to have a wider spectrum of power/skills for your team.

All in all the Digimon Dawn is a nice addition to any gamers collection. I give it a 9.
