When I got Diddy Kong Racing I was expecting something close to the Fun Factor of Mario Kart. To my surprise I was off.
The Good: Diddy Kong Racing offers somethings Mario Kart doesn't. Story, multiple vehicles, Custom Tracts,upgradable vehicles, 6 players online. With so much content the game offers a lot of lasting apeal.
The Bad: With so much content. You would expect this game to be better then Mario Kart. Well it isnt. Why? The story mode only becomes tedious and annoying after so many hours. With racing games you just want to RACE, not drive around looking for races.
Another big complaint I have is the strange touch screen features. Such as the boost at the begining of a Race. You use your pen to spin a propellar or a tire to get a boost. This doesnt make it easier. Only more frustrating to move your hand from touch screen to buttons to start the race.
Gameplay, Don't expect fast pace races. Or unique courses. The game is straight forward. With really no competetive apeal like Mario Kart.
Conclusion: If your desperate for a Racing Game and you already own Mario Kart give it a try. If you love Mario Kart and want some thing more, you will be VERY disopointed.
