My girlfriend bought this for me since my birthday is next week and all I have to say is wow. I love it. I played the demo on the PC but couldn't afford it at the time but once I heard they were porting it, I got super excited.
It's better on the console than it was on the PC for sure. It controls so much better. You have full range of movement for your character outside of the point and click on the PC. Not to mention they included the dodge roll for the right thumbstick.
The combat is very fun and very rewarding. My Witch Doctor can lay to waste to hordes and hordes of minions and high level enemies with ease and I LOVE it.
The story picks up a 30 years after the events of Diablo 2 and you see that the world isn't as safe as you thought it was when you last left. The cut scenes are jaw dropping. The sound effects fit everything perfectly. From the sounds of your enemies to your character spells and buffs, it sounds perfect.
Trust me, pick it up. Go buy it. You wont be upset.
I actually bought this game for myself but I'm renting it so myself and some friends of mine can play on separate consoles. Anyway, this is a fantastic game, definitely worth a try for both those who are new to RPGs and experienced players. I love how every character class has certain powers that, with a little practice, greatly compliment the other classes. If I had to criticize any one point of the game it would be that one has to kind of speed run it to keep your gear up to par, and I'm a "search every corner/break every candelabra" kind of player. I guess that isn't the game's fault though. Anyway, Great game! Try it!
Hello, now please do not get me wrong, this game is astounding. It is visually magnificent in its use of colors and scenery. I played as a wizard and liked the selection of weapontry and use of spell casting. This game is in my opinion extremely long, reminds me of something on-line like Worlds of Warcraft, I really thought they went over-broad at the end with too many mega-battles back to back, I surrendered after about the third one in a row and did not complete the game. When they design these like this, with this seemingly impossible battles to win, especially back to back it takes the fun out of the game for me. I like the game to move along. The second big flaw to this game to me was when you were defeated in battle and it restarted it, you did not get your health status back to where it was to begin with ( med-kits etc. ), so each time you lost, your health kits depleted more and more. But this game was fantastic and I am glad I got to play it. And mind you I Played on easy mode the whole game and spent some serious time on it everyday for a week. As always Thank You Game-Fly And See ya! Billy in Samson
