Dirt is a very good game with a good feel to it. The graphics are amazing and the story is easy to follow. Your a rookie driver trying to get to the top of the pack by doing champion races all over the world. there are a lot of types of races from mini cars to 18 wheelers. yes i said 18 wheelers.
The views of the cars are very realistic. you can view from the drivers P.O.V, the hood, the top, and the 3rd person view. brfore a race you can buy cars, customize them and select your car setup.
the races are easy.. i went from a rookie level to pro level in one night. there is a track briefing section witch really comes in handy if your new to the track.
there are many diffrent tracks in campain. also the briefing tells you what type of dirt, gravel or tarmac it is. like loose un even dirt or smooth wet tarmac or rough dry tarmac... over all I think its a really good game for people who love racing.
i remember playing coline mcrae rally 4 on ps2 back in the day and this just blew my mind. if you love rally, then you'll love this game. there is a bunch of different racing types, semi trucks, trucks, buggies etc but i'd say 90% of the game is straight up rally from old school ford escort style to sti's and 307's. the feeling of the different surface types is great, you can feel it when you slide off of a smooth tarmac going 70 and slide into a gravel turn. wheel is recommend, but i'm using a controller and it plays just fine. if you love rally, rent this. if you dont, probably should stay away, for its a rough and bumpy ride
all together this game was awesome. the graphics were the best i have seen yet and the difficulty and damage to your car and your surroundings was very realistic. it only took me 6 hours and 23 minutes to beat according to the driving time clock which is kind of short but it was well worth it. i wouldnt recommend to buy this game because of the length but deffinatly rent it.
