With all the talk of Devil May Cry 3 being a return to form for this series, in particular the character of Dante, DMC4 truly brings back memories of the original DMC. Graphics and controls are spot on. Combos are easy to pull off; truthfully, new lead Nero's moves make it easier to pull off huge chains. The best thing about this game is the humor of Nero, Dante, and the rest of the cast. This is the first time it truly feels they have pulled together the storylines and characters from the previous games into a rich history. As for the bad, there is very little that is more than a few gripes. With Dante and Nero having different playstyles it is a little jarring when they switch out during the storyline. Also, rehashing the same levels and bosses really hurts the game. It sent the experience from a perfect 10 down to a 9 based solely on being frustrated with those levels. All in all this is a must play for old Dante fans and newbies alike. It gives plenty of little asides for those who have been with the series from the beginning while being a great relaunching point for new fans.
Devil May Cry returns at it's best. this is by far the best devil may cry I have ever played. with the new character Nero bringing a new style to the series you can tell that capcom took their time creating a great title. the graphics are great, but the shadowing is kinda sketchy. the gameplay lets you know why they should continue the series even farther, it defenitly saves the game. you can also play with dante and he still proves to be the best at what he does. the story is second to devil may cry 3 but dont let that stop you from playing this great game. I'm a huge fan of the devil may cry series and this is a must have. if you love action/adventure with great graphics then you will be smart and pick this up asap.
it seems to have way to many glitches things such as pillers, plants, vases even the houses disappear and then repear in the first big fight at one point i was standind in midair. its almost like they just threw the game together for the playstation 3, alittle bit of a disapointment from capcom.
