Frankie (Brad Pitt) is one of the best killers in the IRA. But when he's sent of to America to buy some weapons, he's taken in by the family of Irish cop Tom (Harrison Ford), who knows nothing about Frankie's real identity. The two men get to know each other as Tom struggles with moral problems covering for his partner, Edwin (Ruben Blades).
