I haven't written a review in a very long time, however this game screams out for a review because it is a "AAA title".
Presentation: The menus were not really in the way. The interface worked very well. However, the map left something to be desired. It was difficult navigating around with their setup. But the story is very solid & flows nicely.
Sound: The soundtrack is excellent. However, the voice acting seemed forced & weird at times. It was awkward to listen to at times, & not appealing. While the soundtrack was excellent, the overall sound was a serious miss here for me because of the voice acting.
Graphics: Everyone wants to compare games to CoD and MW for graphics. Throw those games out the window and judge the game by itself. On it's own, it is still doing nothing spectacular or special in terms of graphics. Deux Ex is not paving the way for anything new here. However, the art design was smartly done and it visually appealing.
Gameplay: The game establishes early what your rewards & punishments are going to be & for what. There are ways to abuse the rewards, but what large game ultimately doesn't have that issue? The good thing is, it is VERY time consuming to abuse some of the rewards. So that is a deterrent. My BIGGEST complaint: You can play through any situation any way you like. The problem: You want to combat it through? It feels wonky, & the guns are inaccurate at best. You want be stealthy? Be prepared to be bored. You will sit there for 5 minutes watching the guards to figure out the pattern, will kill one, drag him off, repeat, repeat, repeat, and repeat again in some areas.
Replay Value: Excellent. There's virtually 5 different ways you can approach every situation. So there will be multiple playthroughs. Also there are multiple endings and multiple different outcomes of all situations.
Overall: It left something to desired. Because of it, my rating is a 6 out 10. I would recommend renting this game before buying
