If you love the show, then rent this for the Northwestern Video Tour which is the only redeeming quality of this game. Watch the video tour, take the tutorial, play the mini-games and send the game back immediately. You will save yourself from many bad and frustrating experiences, but still pick up some achievement points.

Actual game play is some of the worst I have ever experienced in any 360 title. After several in-game lockups, constant frame rate stutters, and an overall slowdown of all Xbox functions when playing this game it is obvious to me that Liquid Dragon Studios has zero programming talent. The game code on this disk must be the least optimized of any game I've previously played. Save every 15 minutes of play or risk having to re-play sections due to game lockups when the game tries to load a video or pop-up a crew member comment box.

So if you still must play the game, here's what you can look forward to. First this game is a fishing simulation. Expect repetitive boredom inducing game play. You will be making all the decisions on where to fish and how many pots to drop. Expect constant second guessing by your crew, which gets really annoying. You will find many more in-game bugs as you play. Here's a good example of a bug. After waiting in line for many hours you're finally offloading your catch at port. During the offload, the season closes and a little pop up box alerts you to this. You close the pop-up box and now are back in line waiting to offload your crab. Seriously, did this game go through any QA at all before being released?

Sig has many pre-recorded video fishing tips that pop-up as you play, but sometimes they will play and sometimes they don't so what could have been a cool feature was again...flawed.

So, as a fan of the show, I stuck out a few seasons of play and was very glad this was only a rental. Liquid Dragon Studios is now on my Must Avoid At All Costs short list.
