If you are excited, as I was, for a prequel to the exciting and scary Dead Space game, that means you have played the PS3(or PC Xbox360 etc..) game. The downside to that is, that I carried over my expectations for the story, character development, graphics, and controls over from a game which for a different system, was Perfect. This game, however, is not.
Graphics: 0/10 I couldn't tell what was going on at all. I felt like I was playing Nintendo 64. In a game where surgical precision is necessary because of the enemies, It would have been nice to see the differences in the enemies. (SHOOT THE TOP LEFT OF THAT BLOB!)
Controls 0/10 Like trying to perform brain surgery with one hand stapled to your carpet, or more realistically.. Just Plain Bad.... You can't blast the legs out from underneath a blob (which should look like a necromorph) while wiggling the remote like a frenzied otter trying to drive a car.
Storyline? ??/10 I was so disappointed in the first 30 minutes of gameplay, I didn't even care what happened. I put the game BACK IN THE ENVELOPE AND SENT IT BACK.
The verdict is: If you have played the PS3 game and want to know what happened, Look it up online. If you haven't played the PS3 game or Haven't played anything newer than Goldeneye 64, You will love this game because you haven't had your expectations set high. BOO Nintendo....
