the level design is a bit too cramped, they left out the PvP versus mode that was included in the last game, and compact (pistol) weapons are all really similar to one another.
Was PvP left out because EA still wants you to buy Dead Space 2? Probably.
It just feels like EA wants to spend less and profit more. No more playable necromorphs and PvP, just a co-op partner who can barely fit in the hallways with you. It seems like this was produced to check off the sequel box, not because the developer had any interesting ideas for it.
Don't get me wrong I loved the other two but this game is just trying to pull a resident evil by that I mean throw away most horror aspects and replace them with explosions and to much action an not the horror roots it started on it a good game but to me it seems like all horror games are straying too far from their roots

Dead Space 3 is what I call a "fair game." Which means it's not terrible but it's not fantastic either. My opinion about DS2 was one of the best frightening gaming fanchise I have ever played so far. But ds3 ruined some of those parts. First off and most significant is the fear. Since I became tolerant of being scared because of ds2 my rate for fear on ds3 would be 5/10. Things and certain events rarely scared me. Lights were mainly turned on then off. Puzzles were too simply and some confusing. And later on I found out that they were opitional missions that I didnt even know existed.\
Now the good:
1.The characters in the game are awesome except for the villian. Somehow he reminds me of Austin Powers which for me was sort of hiliarious other than fearful.
2.The weapons you can build your own to whatever style you want. Example a sniper rifle combined with a shotgun.
3. The are plenty of necromorphs to kill with your weapons.
4. The highest difficulty can be challenge.
5. The storyline is good but can be repeatitive such as boss battles.
6. Finally but not least is the co-op. Playing with a friend or family member is an enjoyable experience in the game. You can share medkits, and ammo compare to RE franchise. For me I had some laughs playing with my brother. but sadly there is no split-screen.
