This was a great game, not sure why people have been giving it bad reviews. I liked it. Once you get past the first 20 minutes of gameplay where its more story leading you into the gameplay the game fun begins. Even on casual settings this game proved to be difficult in several areas. They did some new additions to the game from the past 2 dead spaces. These cool little helpers called scavenger bots that find items to help you build up your weapons and suits. That is one of the changes they did was instead of upgrading with the classic way you have to collect scrap metal, and other kinds of stuff to upgrade your rig, and weapons. Even though there were more weapons to choose from I found myself using the pistol, which I got for having played dead space 2, and a shotgun with grenade launcher combo. Also found myself using the kenisis a lot more than in the other 2 past games.
And spoiler alert if you played it to the end it does leave it open for a 4th dead space. At first I thought oh guess the franchise is over but there was a twist after the credits.
Pros: Scavenger bots that collect stuff to help you. Universal ammo no more having to be taking up slots for different ammo. Great graphics, and neat storyline. Controls are same as previous 2 games makes me mad when they make a new game and change the controls, so a big pro in my book.
Cons: Ammo is scarce so use wisely. No more credits to upgrade you equipment you have to collect items to do it. Only 2 weapon slots on your rig now instead of the classic 4 so you might find you having to pick and choose what weapons you take. For dead space veterans wasn't scary.
Well when it was about to come out i played the demo and LOVED it, i think DS3 Is the best game of the year. Fantastic Enviorments epic battles. Plus the enemies have improved. DS3 Tops everything, only thing that competes with it is skyrim.
If you are in to the other two Dead Space games there is no reason you won't dig this one. In fact as a big fan of the series this may be my favorite. The scares just aren't scary anymore after three games but it's not from a lack of effort. The action makes up for it. My only problem with the game is the amount of times you fall down like a total klutz.
