The graphics, sound & atmosphere will amaze you & must have taken a countless amount of work to achieve. Most importantly the game is a blast. It just feels huge & epic & it remains dark, scary & tense while adding in a bit more action, better controls & a better pace. I find it to be a perfect blend & without comparing it to other Dead Space games it's just a great game. For me it still feels totally like Dead Space & I hope they continue the franchise.
Yeah I think it's probably one of the best looking games out right now. The lighting effects in this game are pretty crazy, for the first time I actually enjoyed the dark areas, simply for the awesomness of the lighting.
Thought the story was alright, it kept me interested and wanted me to get to the end at least. The settings are pretty amazing.
Didn't get to play co-op because of the stupid online pass. Probably could have gave this game a 9 if I had a good co-op experience.
I was unsure about Deadspace3 ... After playing Deadspace2, I was assuming it was going to be again a very one-way game with just an adapted story. But I was wrong... This title was under hyped and really added a new depth of game interaction that is unlike the previous titles of Dead Space.
It plays a third person shooter... Sort of like Resident Evil but with a deep Science fiction interaction of space and spacestations.
While it does require an online pass to play the co-op... The single player experience is really well defined and I am wondering what will be next in the Dead Space series.
Continuing off the previous titles you play as Issac a Space engineer who accidentally got in the mix of a religious cult, while going to a spacestation to do repairs.
Driven insane by the horror Issac witnessed before, Issac has gone into hiding in the poverty of a city on the moon. Found by military Issac is once again dragged into helping destroy the cult's inane worship of an artifact that emits a infinite dark energy.
Refusing at first to aid... They encourage Issac by informing his ex-girlfriend has been out to stop the cult. Concern for his ex-girlfriend's safety... Issac sets out to aid the military to end the cult's plan.
The developers and EA really set you inside the futuristic world of the space frontier. Unlike before putting you in the one-way spacestation... You start on the Moon in the poverty level. You will even get to see a space station that isn't littered with corpses.
There is a lot more space walks in this title to... You really get to free-roam in space and explore. You also get the entire grasp of how bunk it would be if a spaceshuttle was to be out of commission light years away from earth.
The free-roam experience of the game has given a depth to the game unlike before.
I didn't get to try the co-op, but this title has evolved into a very rich futuristic interaction. An the horror aspect is still superb.
