(I give this game an 8.5) I love the dead space games and this was still good too. There are moments in the game when I played it late at night I got a little scared which is good but the ending... all I can say is could have been a lot, a lot better!! I was shocked, the ending left me hanging. I would have given a rate of 9 or 9.5 but that's how bad the ending is for me.

That being said DS3 is still well above average. It just lacks the scary ambviance of the other two games, namely because it just seems so familiar to me at this point.
The gameplay is fun and has its usual stupid parts just like every Dead Space game. Its based about the same as the other two.
The story is pretty cheesy, but not too cringe inducing.
The Hydra boss is lame and not fun to fight.
They made some bad choices early on in the game with their music selection. They play Star Warslike scores that kill the tension at certain points.
Theres more areas and side missions but they are tedious and saving your game in the middle of one may not work.
In summation its flawed but fun.

Make sure to play. Good graphics. Decent voice acting. Great music, really makes good ambiance. The story is good almost as good as the first. Had a few scares but nothing like the first Dead Space. Action is predictable and you do a lot of go and fetch. My only real issue is the running around in circles at times. Parts of it had me just running through areas to stop the tedium. Load times are acceptable but you do go through many doors. I had no issues with glitches but up close combat is visually problematic. I would have played even if I knew of all issues. I played single player but can see where coop would be fun and make it worth playing again. Well worth playing and I only listed issues so others could be informed. Very enjoyable.
