Wasn't blown away, but still cool

My first introduction to the DS series was with DS2, bought it on PSN. Couldn't believe how freaky that game was and how desperate the situation with the story felt, money well spent i think. This one just didn't have that. A lot of the story I could almost guess what was going on. "Yay im almost done with this mission!" Issac falls somewhere or something blows up "ohhh nooo" (sarcasm). maybe because im used to it now, i dont know. just wasnt anywhere near as scary as DS2
The gun building was fun at first, but once you had a set gun there was really no need to use others unless to just try something different for a few kills then eventually switch back to what you had. I beat the game using chain gun with ripper blade. from almost start to finish.
The rig suits are all pretty lame and no passive bonus to weapons or anything.
I will say, the main reason for a higher than 6 rating is the co-op and that the lighting graphics are so fluid, watching your partner way down a dark hallway looks movie like.
All in all, I wish I rented before buying.
