KEEP MULTIPLE SAVE FILES chapter 13 has a game ending glitch that if the puzzle piece isn't in the ceiling in the room with the Floor you can barely walk on. if the door key isn't plugged in the ceiling the game CANNOT be completed. Reload and try the room again.
first off this game is great. they redid the weapons so they aren't all useless. i found myself using only the plasma cutter in dead space because it was over powered. in this game the plasma cutter will NOT get you through the game easily. the hoardes of enemies is faster and stronger then in dead space. due to this the game is not nearly as scary as the first one. the story is strong and doesn't feel like your just replaying part 1. Isaac is no longer mute as well which in my opinion is great because it brings more life to Isaac. all in all this sequel was worth at least a play through. those that wish to replay it more can with a excellent new game + mode where you can choose your difficulty, unlike the first one where you could only redo the setting you were on.
i do recommend a play through and purchase for any horror game fan. just remember. keep multiple save files and if you get stuck in a room with goo and no puzzle piece reload and go back in that room and try again because the last section of the game is worth going through for this game. this game would be a perfect sequel if not for the glitches. have fun playing through the game.
Played the 1st one loved it. This one just extends past that. The graphics are impressive, along with the gameplay. The story is what really sticks out in this one though. With Clark making a return along with his wife makes a great action love story. Not to mention the horror scenes to go with it. All in all this a great addition to the franchise except for the fact that you need a code to play online that is located in the manual. So if you are getting this game on gamefly for multiplayer...just buy it. The online side of it includes a trial to unplayed copies but only lasts 2 days. The mulitplayer is full of action and also the option to play as the necromorphs is another great addition but not worthy of a 9.99 buy on the PSN store for those who dont have access to the manual code. With that said this is a great pick up for some single player and multiplayer action. Lets just hope they will develop another one.
Absolute perfection and polish. The developers clearly had a goal in mind and flawlessly executed this game. The gameplay is smooth, seamless, and visually stunning. As with the previous entry, Dead Space 2 leaves you gasping for breath, and straining to collect more ammo to slay the hordes of necromorphs. QTE's (quick time events) are often, so you need to keep on your toes with the x button. There are more varied weapons to upgrade, and the suits now give specific bonuses, in addition to more armor and inventory slots. I wouldn't change anything. On casual, the game is fun for the new-to-FPS gamer, and on hard, it challenges even the most seasoned Necromorph slayers. Personally I bought the game because the replay value is high and there are always new surprises to steel myself for. Definitely rent, or buy this game.
