This game has a rushed feel given how some textures tend to pop in.. It actually looks like they kept most of the original dead island, and just redesigned it and gave it a new story... Only one new person? Seriously? A lot of the polish of the first game has been seemingly removed... But they do manage to continue the story.
Weapons have been improved upon to a degree, and you can now get weapon skill levels for the class of weapons that you actually use. There are four classes of weapon skills: bludgeon(GAMEFLY, B-L-U-N-T isn't an BAD WORD), edged, fist, and fire arms now grow as you use them.. You can import your character from the previous dead island.. There does seem to be a greater focus on guns in general, but it still seems that melee is still the dominate focus.. There are New monsters too..
Otherwise, it turns out that this game was an expansion for the last game and unfortunately it shows.. Still it isn't a bad deal for only around $14... Still, the Dead island series is better, in my opinion than resident evil, which became a generic shooter and nothing much else... Try before you buy, and see if you like it.. Then be sure to check the out the first Dead island if you haven't already done so... Not a bad series, but it could use some more work...
what happens when you take Far Cry 3 and remove everything that made this game cool throw in zombies from Dead rising and add a twist of borderlands type gun mods? this steaming pile of feces here. Bad graphics massive amounts of glitches two player online co-op ruined th game for me when someone dropped a modded gun that never ran out of bullets ... absolute garbage. boring and no fun
