Nothing has really changed in terms of graphics and gameplay. There's new weapons, a different but similar setting and some different zombies. I'd think of this game like a huge expansion considering it's a new stoy and it takes about 20 hours or soo to beat. Der worth a rent
This is Riptide and to be honest its very close to the first Dead Island, but that is NOT a bad thing. I hate when franchise games fail to stay true to their roots, i.e. Resident Evil. This is what it is, its a continuation of the first Dead Island and it is very much the same. There are some stronger creatures which they needed to add because the fighting got mundane in the first DI.
I do think they could have improved the fighting a bit in this one but they didn't. It could be a bit more sophisticated. I have never liked the lack of climbing and jumping ability in either DI. But this is a fun and very addicting game in its own right. It would be a shame to not play it based on a few bad reviews.
I will say this; if the creators could really take some time and put more fight and scare factor into the next one, it could quickly become one of the best franchises out there. There just isn't a lot of that truly frightening, scary element that should be there in a zombie game of this caliber. I think you will enjoy the game very much so enjoy.
This game has a ton of potential but just doesn't reach even close to what it COULD be. I played it for a little over an hour and it seems like all the missions I did were just going to find something. It was a very bad looking game and didn't seem fun to me. The fighting was OK... It seemed fun at first but got very old quickly. I would not recommend this game for anyone.
