glitchy beyond belief. played for an hour and then realized that continuing was pointless. I always grade cross console games based on how well they perform on the PS3. I have a PC and Xbox as well and I know that the mark of a well made game can be seen in its playability on the PS3. randomly booted me to the main menu during gameplay several times. played cutscenes for next chapter behind "survivor died" reload screen. utter garbage. walk around for a while in the open world environment and everything will reload on you. to the guys who made this game: way to waste your time making something that is unplayable.

Nothing has really changed in terms of graphics and gameplay. There's new weapons, a different but similar setting and some different zombies. I'd think of this game like a huge expansion considering it's a new stoy and it takes about 20 hours or soo to beat. Der worth a rent
This is Riptide and to be honest its very close to the first Dead Island, but that is NOT a bad thing. I hate when franchise games fail to stay true to their roots, i.e. Resident Evil. This is what it is, its a continuation of the first Dead Island and it is very much the same. There are some stronger creatures which they needed to add because the fighting got mundane in the first DI.
I do think they could have improved the fighting a bit in this one but they didn't. It could be a bit more sophisticated. I have never liked the lack of climbing and jumping ability in either DI. But this is a fun and very addicting game in its own right. It would be a shame to not play it based on a few bad reviews.
I will say this; if the creators could really take some time and put more fight and scare factor into the next one, it could quickly become one of the best franchises out there. There just isn't a lot of that truly frightening, scary element that should be there in a zombie game of this caliber. I think you will enjoy the game very much so enjoy.
