Movie Description
George A. Romero's zombie classic lives again with first-time director Zack Snyder's re-imagined version of Dawn of the Dead. It starts when a nurse, Ana (Sarah Polley), wakes up to find her boyfriend dead, turned into a meal for a zombie. Ana soon discovers that the whole population of the town is turning into zombies and the dead have risen. With a cop named Kenneth (Ving Rhames) and a few other survivors, Ana barricades herself in the nearby mall and fends off the hordes of undead. As additional human survivors are found, the group revels in their mall paradise while planning their escape. Dawn of the Dead truly delivers in the blood and guts department with plenty of humor thrown in for good measure.

The original Dawn of the Dead is a zombie classic and i was not happy when i heard it was being remade but i must admit they didn't totally ruin it. The original is still WAY better, but this take is probably more appealing to today's audience. It isn't with out its flaws (zombie baby?) but it doe...more
