Darksiders for Xbox 360 Reviews by Gamers

This game is a mix between Zelda and God of War. Some areas can be confusing and frustrating because of certain puzzle elements, so look to the net for guides when you get stuck. Yes, you will get stuck. The games "normal" setting is a perfect balance, while eays is well, too easy, and its hard difficulty will pwn. The game is 15 hours or so long, and the only thing that keeps it from being a 9 or 10 is thta there is no multiplayer. a lot of people seem to like it enough to go back through on the hardest difficulty though. It's visuals are sweet, and there are tons of blood and body parts to go around.

Although Darksiders is quite entertaining for 10+ hours or so, it is lacking in some important areas. Boss fights were linear and extremely easy, puzzles were redundant, the AI was not too intelligent and secondary weapons were lacking in combo diversity. The mixture of God of War and the Zelda games was a nice touch and the game is very enjoyable....for one play through. Unlike other games of this genre your items and upgrades do not transfer over to your second play through (except abyssal armor) making it feel stale when you attempt to play through a harder difficulty. All in all its worth a shot, but in its entirety it should remain as a rental.
