This game didn't do it for me. Looking at the previews I thought it would have a cool story and be similar to God of War, but was I wrong BIG TIME!!! The story line was horrible and hard to follow the graphics were even worst then the story line!!! Game play was bad, but I only played the game for maybe 30 minutes or so and then it was turn off placed into the mailing sleeve and back to Gamefly it went.
Not what you're looking for if you liked the first

If you enjoyed the first Darksiders with War, you will regret playing this one. The only thing done right is the story but with boring and repetitive gameplay, even playing as Death himself can't save this game. Fans of a potential series should be extremely disappointed as the first one was great and this second installment will kill the prospect of a series. One can only hope that the developers of this game have been fired and embarrased by their product so much so that we will never hear from them again and allow competent game developers to wow us with more than concepts but rather entertaining gameplay and amazing stories living up to the hype.

This game is Gorgeous, and fun to play. All the mechanics work very well, the voice acting is top notch, the score is wonderful, and oh the beautiful things you will see.
The game uses a (light) Skyrim style leveling system, a Prince of Persia platforming system, A Diablo stlye looting system, and a God of War style combat system. With hints of Legend of Zelda dungeon crawling/ puzzle solving and you even get a portal gun. This game pays homages to all the best games while at the same time remaining fresh and incredibly enjoyable. Plus, it is very lengthy with lots of optional side quests.
