Darksiders II for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

Okay, here it is in a nutshell. This game is God of War meets Kingdoms of Amalur. This is a great game with very little downside at all. That said, this game is not on the same level of awesomeness as God of War and it is not quite as good as Kingdoms of Amalur in general either.

However, it is a close second on both accounts and is my #1 best sleeper game of the year!!

Pros

Excellent graphics and amazing story line make this game enjoyable from the start.

Fighting and background graphics (style) very reminiscent of God of War, which to me says a lot. If Far Cry 3 can claim to be Skyrim with guns (which it is not) then this game is God of War lite, with open world play...very nice.

Game progresses very nicely as you build your character into a complete bad ars. I think that this game series will be dominant if the creators continue to up the ante with each subsequent release.

Boss fights are both challenging and fun, no boring battles here so suit up and show up.

Dungeon fast travel is a great addition!!

Cons -

The controls are a bit funky at times for me, which may just be me, but God of War is smoother overall in my opinion.

Mimics other games already on the market so don't expect great originality here. This is a knock off game but what isn't anymore right?

All in all, enjoy the game, its great and it deserves to be in the discussion along with Sleeping Dogs for best sleeper game of the year.

My opinion is that this is one of the best rpgs ive played since God of war(never mind the similarities)other than the 10 million glithces in the game and the sometime unresponsive controls i give this game a solid 9 with tremendous replay value!!!
