Movie Description
Dahlia Williams (Jennifer Connelly) is looking forward to starting a new life with her five-year-old daughter, Ceci (Ariel Gade). Following a bitter custody dispute with her former husband, Dahlia begins a new job and moves into a new apartment. The space, cramped and run-down, begins coming to life. Strange noises, odd events in the empty apartment above, and unstoppable leaks of eerie dark water begin toying with Dahlia's mind. Dahlia begins a frantic pursuit to uncover the cause of these mysterious happenings. The more she finds, the more confused and terrified she becomes, opening up a floodgate of new nightmares. And all the while the dark water is closing in around her.

Dark Water is a ghost story that is more melancholy than fright. I think one of the bad things that this movie endured was that it had the label of a horror movie on it.
