This was a decent game, though short and flawed. I liked the battle system, because the game is played from first person it goes smoothly. I mainly stuck through to the end because i liked the story though, the bad thing about that statement is the fact that this game is short. (7 hours on hard for me) The game is very flawed though, the pure game play, being a linear rpg, could have been much better considering the programmers know exactly where you have to go. Then comes the bugs...sometimes I fell through the map, sometimes the spell I fired doesn't fire but still takes up mana, etc. None of these happened more than twice in the entire time I played, but it still gets annoying. Then theres the lack of an auto save system that makes the bugs that make you reload worse if your not in the habit of saving often. Regardless of it's faults this game garnered a 7/10 from me for keeping me occupied for 7 hours (amazing) and a good story and battle system.

This game may not be as intense or as in depth as most people want a RPG to be, but its still is fun. After all, people were calling Bioshock a FPS RPG for awhile. The game may be linear, but who cares if it's fun?
The game's graphics are crisp and great looking. I can't really say anything else about them besides they are awesome.
The ambient sound of the game is nice and never got annoying to me, but the voice acting gets annoying within the first 5 minutes. It's just either really bad acting or annoying voices, but no one plays the original Resident Evil for the superb voice acting.
Combat is entertaining and easy, but sometimes it seems a little too easy even playing the game on "Normal". You can run in blade swinging as a fighter and not have to worry about much.
The length of the game I would say is just right, and the achievements help out a lot with going back through trying to find more secret areas, or etc. etc.
Online play helps the length as well, but I cannot say too much about it because I only played the Demo's Live play. It's interesting to say the least. Running around in a team death match style with 9 other people, shooting arrows and casting spells. There are also multiple achievements for online play as well.
When it comes down to it - this review is for Gamefly users, and it makes for a great rental. And possibly a purchase.

Well I never expected much from this game. It had a strong start and I thought I might end up liking it, but it never really pulls together.
The graphics in this game are neither great or awful. They are acceptable. The repeated combat and mission dialog get very annoying. The save system is damning. You can actually save at points in the game where you are destined to fail. In fact even the check point system will create a check point at a bad time and you will be forced into death no matter what upon retrying. This ruined one of my games and I had to load a muuuuch earlier save.
My 2nd hugest gripe about this game is that you can not customize your controls... Specifically you can not invert your x-y axis. This made a this first person game very difficult for me because I am used to inverted x-y axis and always had to correct myself against my instincts when looking up or down.
Finally what made me just turn off the xbox and quit is when I got this nice spell for my mage. It did lots of damage and looked cool, unfortunately, when you have this spell equipped your hands come up into the screen and they create a glowing orb. This orb covers nearly half the screen and sometimes covers the entire center of your view. This makes aiming impossible. Shields and weapons were very obtrusive on the screen as well. I like to see my spells/armor/weapons as much as anyone, but I don't like them blocking my view and hindering my gameplay.
The game wasn't glichy but still seems very unfinished and unpolished.
