All of you hardcore sony fans may not of heard about dark cloud. Dark Cloud is an amazing game an almost all fields. You plays as a villager named Toan(weird name but they get weirder)who's village was destroyed and an old wizard gives him this magical device to move and create your own city.
This is were the fun just begins, some of the many pro's to this game are that its not just an RPG. In the dungeons, you collect parts to numerous towns and assemble them any way that you please. Another thing that I love about this game is that the RPG elements aren't just cheap knockoffs either. They are great fun and are not always easy. in certain areas of the game you go into these sequences were you are button mashing to keep alive. The variety of weapons you can choose from are endless especially when you can upgrade them into better weapons but this takes a lot of work. The boss fights take a lot of work and may take a lot of training and purchasing healing equipment just to survive. Finally the level designs are amazing and the little traps that are unlocked through certain characters are amazing.
Some of the cons I have for the game is that the 6 characters you can be are pretty lame you have a half cat half human with a slingshot, a lonely forest boy with a hammer, a genie with a magic ring, a middle eastern man with a javelin, and a bazaar rabbit moon man with a machine gun. I AM NOT JOKING!!! How did level 5 think of this lame set up. Also it may be cool that these characters have there own uses but there is no voice acting in this game. Also the environments (as original as they are) Seem boring after a while and the seem the same. Also the game feels so long that it is never going to end, which in my opinion can make or break a good game. The graphics in this game are pretty bad even for a game in early 2000 game.
My overall opinion of the game is that this game, with all of the problems I am disappointed with, it is still an amazing game for a your system.
