Dark Cloud 2 for PlayStation 2 Reviews by Gamers

The gameplay and graphics are nice and I enjoyed the picture taking system for inventions as well. Although, I found it a downside to constantly manage my weapons after awhile and to constantly die in a few hits as well. As for the invention system, it was nice to finally invent something but I only wish that they would have allowed the player to invent whatever the player wanted to and useing the items that you list would effect how well your invention works in the first place. The weapon upgrade system was nice but it didn't show enough influence if the user increased the flame trait and had no flame effect to boost it. Overall, a good game with an awesome idea that could have carried the game a lot further than what it is now, and the story of the game is decent and ok to follow. Just wish the key item of importance in the player's posession would play a bigger role in combat and in serious situations where the player is in control instead of the preset effect it provides.

To start this is one of the best fishing games on the market period. Which is sad because it is a 3rd person RPG first. It also has a fun golf like game, A capture slash train to race game, and a city builder just for a little extra. If that was not enough you can level up your weapons for hours or try to find all the stuff you need to invent everything in the game. Yeah I forgot to mention there is also a recipe like item creation system in the game. Now most games can't accomplish one goal this game succeeds at all. This is one game I have been praying for new installment since I finished this one 6 years ago. If you never have played it dust off the PS2 and give this gem a try.
