Really Bad

A Subpar DDR

The Good:
I liked some of the songs. They were definitely going for an 80s vibe with some of the picks here. Putting the real videos behind a few of the songs was cute.

The Bad:
I need to start by saying I've played most of the entries in the series (except Extreme 2). The re-design of the interface is terrible. The font for all of the menus is almost unreadable. And the background with the sketchy polygons looks cheap and interferes with the readability even more. I'm not sure anyone actually played this before it shipped out the door.

Making me go back out to the main menu to purchase things is unnecessary. This isn't the sort of game where I want to mess around with the settings a lot. I just want to dance. When a song is unlocked, just unlock it and let me play it. And, maybe it was my imagination, but the dancers were incredibly irritating and distracting. The series really needs to be stripped down to its barest essentials. It's gotten bloated.

Really Bad

Boring Game

Ok, I like all of the other DDR games, but this one seemed to bore me. Maybe it's the lack of song choice or maybe because the songs just stink. I don't know, all I know is that this game didn't please me the entire hour I played. My rating for this game is 2.

I'm sorry. This is a great game. It really is. But it lacks several functions that would make it interesting and worth while. The "Stellar Master Mode" is less than interesting, and because you are limited to such plain looking characters, or a funny looking little fairy named "Pix". The fun of being able to select your dancer is now gone. Most of the songs have, IMO, a very ugly and lost beat, and the lack of movies or cute little animations for the songs is also taking away the value and fun of this game. I thought it was going to be so good... But it turns out this game just bombs, and managed to scrap by my views because it had a few good songs
