Damnation for PlayStation 3 Reviews by Gamers

After reading so many bad reviews I avoided renting this game, but I kept coming back to it. It looked like something we would like.. so we tried it and just beat it! We had a 4 day marathon with it. Husband and I. We enjoyed it alot.

I can definitely understand some of the negative reviews, this game is intense and confusing. In my opinion its made for 2 players only. It requires team work to get thru the maps. Sometimes Id be so lost and confused, and my husband would figure it out. Id be so fed up and want to take a break! Then othertimes vise versa with me being able to figure it out. Only one point in the game could neither of us get it. I had to look up info online on how to get past it.

The camera controls were confusing and hard to handle at first startup. It took us about 3 hours into the game to get fluid with the camera. But once we got it.. we got it. And were able to move and shoot quickly and effectively on the fly as required.

We died alot and got "stuck" from game glitches alot. But we both feel like the game compensated for that by having alot of restart points, save points, easy to revive each other, etc. So the occassional bugs we ran into were really not an issue. We would just restart and maybe loose 10 mins at the most of previous game play.. but hey then we would play those 10 mins better the second go around and save more ammo.. so win win.

I would recommend this game to a duo team who wants to play together, and has time and patience to spend on it. Its not one you will "learn" the tricks to and breeze thru after 10 minutes of play. We found it very challenging, yet fun. It even had me scared at some points! Yet we would be laughing to tears at each others suicide jumps when trying to figure out a map at other times. We both wish they would make a sequel.

I think most the bad reviews are from people who played solo and didnt play but for an hour or so then mailed it back. I can see how it would be hard enjoy as such.

SAVED AGAIN BY READING THE USER REVIEWS! I'm so glad there's Gamefly, or I would have bought this. After reading the reviews, I could not believe it was this bad, so I went to other sights to see what else people were saying about it. Well this just in: People everywhere are raving about how terrible this game is. Terrible combat system, re-tarded A.I, mediocre graphics at best, and lack of anything like Woah, I STILL couldn't believe there could be a game as bad as you say it its. so I went to the deciding vote: Youtube. And I have to say, you couldn't have slammed it any less. The game just wasn't there. I gave it a 1 because there's no option to give it a 0. sooooo close to renting this....
