Damnation isn't a very bad game. With a very interesting story line and very open and well made level designs that will leave you wondering around in circles, come time to time. Anyone who loved the game Rise of the Argonauts would really find this game enjoyable.
Damnation, is a adapted concept in its steampunk trend, based off a short story by H. G. Wells called "The Land Ironclads". Followed off the concept of what would have happen if the first World War was never won, and steam power was the main source of all technology.
You play the role as a rebel in the game. Who is fighting against a Super Power that wants to control the world with steam powered automations/robots, and subject humanity to a form of slavery.
At the beginning of the game I was wondering why they held the release date off. Then after getting past the Intro movie and into the game, which seemed pretty rough in graphics. You find your self adventuring threw these massive levels.. That have you climbing, jumping around, and fighting your way threw enemies with really clever designed weapons. Weapons that come from a trend called SteamPunk. I gave this game a great score, for the the whole adapted concept BlueOmega composed. With amazing, vibrant, giant levels that you don't have to go a specific way, you can find alternative routes to your destination, and with a well composed story this game was worth a good run around.
The game offers, a Co-Op mode you can play the story line with a friend, split screen, and several online game modes that have you fighting in pretty big levels.
If you love having to really adventure threw a level, that you dont have to go one specific way, but figure out how to get to somewhere you would really enjoy this very different styled of game.
