When I had first heard about Damnation, I wasn't sure what to expect. Looked like Call of Juarez mixed with something along the lines of magical enduced westerners. So far, in short & sweet, its a great game! I'm enjoying it very much myself, even tho how skeptical I was about it in the first place.
Graphics- 9.5 out of 10. Beautiful introduction. Simply Excellent! The only thing I have to say, is that there are some dark spots in the game, that Sometimes can make shooting an enemy rather hard to see from your point of view as your character.
Controls- Follow the guidelines/tutorial in the start of the game. They are there to help you along the way. I've found when you are trying to re-load your gun, can be frustrating. I was in the middle of sniping a Damned cowboy, then all of a sudden my gun reloaded and wasn't even out of bullets. Could of been a frame rate issue. Loading times can be a little tiresome too. Other than those 2 concerns, I can't really say anything too negative.
Gameplay/Storyline- Every step of the way, its an unfolding mystery to what is happening & going on. The story unfolds as you move along each chapter. There are a nice amount of auto-saves with every cut-scene that occurs. Not a huge range of weapons. In this case, there really isn't need for it. Why? Your sniper rifle, automatic shotty & super-powered pistol pack 1 heck of a punch! The targeting system, how it was designed, it works out great! :)
Voicing- This is actually really good! I felt like for a moment, that Marcus Phoenix voiced the main character, but it's someone different. Did sound similar at first. It's realistic and fits with just about every character in the game!
Replay- I'd give it a Moderately High value. It's a really great game, with few downfalls. I'm becoming more fond of it as the game goes. As an addition, I'd recommend this game for 3rd person shooters/of western gamers, & Gears fans too. Thanks for reading!
