Awesome action, the action is insanely awesome. The graphics are awesome. The storyline is sicking awesome. And the characters are awesome as well. The worst part of the game is that the worlds seem a bit off, but hey, it's limbo right. And the beginning of the game is a little slow, but after the tutorials and the first few levels, the game is blast.
The first thing I noticed about this game was the graphics. They are very poor for a late console game, especially during cinematics, although Dante and enemies look fine during gameplay. the next thing I noticed was all the sexual themes going on, not that I don't mind it but it doesn't go well when, as I said above, the graphics are just lacking. The music is rockin as much as any DMC game has brought us so that's a plus. I really don't have much to say on combat as its a hack n' slash, just typical DMC combat really. The atmosphere that limbo brings is beautiful and how it reacts to the real world is pretty awesome in its own right. Just finished the first boss fight and while it was pretty darn easy it was still enjoyable. Just unlocked all the weapons and I feel that the scythe is pretty under powered while the axe is extremely over powered. I understand that these are suppose to be light(sythe), medium(sword), and heavy(axe) weapons but the guns are so much better as a light weapon than the sythe making is a virtually useless weapon to spend points into. Speaking of points you will get them throughout the game depending on how well you do and use them to unlock new abilities for your weapons or Dante. For the most part it looks like only leveling Dante and the sword are the best way to use your points. The axe and guns should only be leveled to make them stronger so kinda disappointing there. One thing I did like was not only being able to change Dantes' costumes but the skins for his weapons as well, though some must be bought from the XBL marketplace.
Overall the game plays well, camera angles are right on, and the game carries its typical DMC humor and charm. With the lack of customization and poor graphics I give this a solid 8, plenty of room for improvement.
