As a fan of the action/adventure genre I was thoroughly impressed with DmC. The overall game atmosphere had a much different feel than previous entries and felt much more modern and mature. The combo system is very comprehensive but manages to flow quite smoothly and is a joy to demonstrate. Button mashing will not cut it here. Overall I really enjoyed this game and was pleased that there is likely more to come. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoyed previous DMC titles or beat 'em ups in general.
Fantastic Melee Combat throughout
Good Boss Fights
Somewhat Intriguing story (who really cares)
Soundtrack (Not my style but fits the game)
Annoying platforming at times
Exactly 1 puzzle

After years of worrying about this reboot the game turns out to be a MASTERPIECE. You play as the ARROGANT character Dante who seeks revenge on the corrupted government lead by Mundus. The game is one of the best hack and slash so far this year and delivers an exciting story.
Story- The story will satisfy any old DMC fans to new fans of the series. The cut scenes are executed with movie like quality. The motion capture is FANTASTIC and pleasing to watch. The story made me want the game to never end.
Graphics- During cut scenes the texture of some objects would be blurred but the character models look great. Also building would crumple and streets would fly in the air. This cause BEAUTIFUL art with the scenery. Gameplay graphics looked and felt AMAZING compared to the cut scenes that would have texture issues. For me I never had low frame rates but I heard that you can still get them. Although graphics had their problems it will not distract the core game.
Gameplay- The new game play mechanics are so fluent that the player can create beautiful MAYHEM.
Controls- The learning curve can be a bit challenging, due to the many different buttons. But, this will enable the player to switch between different weapon to cause sick combos.Once mastered its up to the player of how to go about SLAUGHTERING their foes.
Enemies- Every enemy looks and plays unique. Before an enemy attacks they will play a animation indicating the player when to dodge or parry. The player will fight waves of different enemies some big, small, or down right UGLY. The only issue while fighting these enemies is the targeting system. Sometime the camera will get lost in the head of battle but this is not a big issue.
Sounds- Every single action that happens in the game sounds EARGASMIC and the sound track works with DMC with the heavy metal chaos.
Overall this is probably the best DMC or better yet the BEST hack and slash to this day.
