Of all the convoluted nonsense that predates this game you can be assured scenes for fans sake.
DMC reboot feels good, plays well and has a few funny spots. Who cares about the story though, the monsters are awesome, the bosses are even better and as a fan I played through on hardest first play through and it felt smooth.
You level up your weapons, buy items, very similar to every other action game (Ninja Gaiden) and finding collectables for more unlocks makes it even more fun.
If you like action games like God of War, the other Devil May Cry games, this is going to fit like a glove.
If you wanted depth of character and story, no. Not entirely included, but its core gameplay is very fun so we can give it a
-1 for storyline...no need to elaborate.
