This game has a lot of potential. It's got pretty good graphics, fast past "Thinking" button mashing, and normally plenty to do. But the Camera angel gets involved. A simple jumps veers off and a simple jumps takes you to your doom. Enemies, they are there somewhere??? The camera forgets where they are at times, or tracks something that isn't what you were focused on. Worth the rent. About a 10 hour romp.

The first dmc I played was devil may cry 4 and I was so disappointed when I saw that the cut scenes were better than the gameplay itself...I never wanted to hear from this game again. Years later this reboot announcement gave me a change at heart for this game. The trailers had me psyched. But when I started playing it omg I wish I would of bought this game instead. The level design is incredible and so creative that its overwhelming. Yet that's not all, the heart of the game is the combat. There's so many moves I guarantee you won't get bored because when you think you've unlocked a cool weapon or move then a few missions later another comes along. Also I guarantee you'll wanna master the combat for all you Completionist out there. If you beat it thinking it was too easy I encourage you to play the unlockable difficulty modes. I can't wait for a sequel... P.S. this game is sexy lol
I was weary of the game but now that i have played the game their was no reason for it. Full disclosure though - I only had time to play through roughly the first half of the campaign but i was impressed.
The game has fantastic visuals and style. The gameplay is excellent. The combo system makes me want to keep replaying checkpoints and bonus rooms over and over again to improve my score.
I found the story to be the most relateable in the series; Debt as enslavement really hits home. Virgil is a good counterpoint to Dante - I hope that he will be playable in the future. The characters have personality - even some of the bosses even memorable.
The first time i saw the level deformations as it turned into Limbo i was just awestruck. Wow!
However the language makes this definitely a M-rated game. The F-bomb and other adult language is thrown around a lot. It is a bit of a shame that a more people will not be able to enjoy this simply because alternative Dialog is not an option. I think that younger players would also love the fast-paced button-pushing gameplay combo flow.
Lastly playing began to hurt my hands after a while of playing. But i am an old man of 40 so doing most things begins to hurt after a while.
To conclude DMC is swell. Just thinking about it makes me wish i were playing it right now!
