Uninspired, rather boring game filled with glitches

The game has good graphics as to be expected and really little else sadly. I found myself bored trying to"force"myself to keep playing figuring gameplay and story would improve and get better.Unfortunately glitches and bugs seemed determined to ruin any chance of that.In the first level a door glitched and would not let me open it forcing me to reload.Thankfully checkpoint wasn't that far or long ago. However this game only uses autosaves at checkpoints and does not let you manually load a game. You only have the option to start a new game, replay a previous level,or resume your game.Thats it. So when you get a glitch or bug that happens and the game autosaves then you are screwed, having the option only to start a new campaign, replay from the begining of previous level or resume from where you were, which in my case was when I clipped through the floor and under the world in a weird yellow haze after jumping from a platform to the center tower in the dam level. The game decided that was a great place for a checkpoint. The only thing I could do then was restart and redo the entire mission from the begining to get back again. Upon finaly getting to the end of the dam mission, turning off pressure things for the nexus,I once again clipped through the floor and had to reload,"sigh". This is just a mess, with too many bugs and problems to deal with the frustration of slogging through a mediocre shooter with sluggish controls, meh storline, that just really feels more like tedious repetition then fun. It isn't a horrible game but it just does nothing that excites you or makes you want to play it,especially dealing with the terrible checkpoint saves and game breaking glitches. Other games do the stealth,shooting,bow,jumping/scaling mechanics so much better that the only draw here would be the story which requires reading files and bio's that all just tell you-Aliens bad,Cell corporation bad...ugh. It is dull, tedious and worse of all just broken. A dissapointing expierence.
Great Graphics, Good gameplay, ok story... Crysis 3 is a good game, but not great. If you have played the previous chapters of the game series, you will probably want to play this just to continue the franchise. The controls and gameplay are all pretty solid and the graphics are amazing, but the game it self just seems move along with very little anything that could be called a standout moment or game changing moment.
If you are looking for something to do and enjoy shooter type titles, give it a shot...you will not be disappointed, but don't expect to be wowed wither.
