I wouldn't recomend this RPG to the general gamer, unless you are into JRPG's then its good for you, most of the game is spent walking around the maps spamming square, the story was so-so, as for the combat, it had a hard learning curve, theres so many bars and gauges you cant exactly tell whats going on from the start, i did enjoy the combat going through some of the game but it lacks the story that pulls you to the characters like the final fantasies have, or other rpg's, so unless you are a hardcore JRPG fan, this game isn't for you.
Many say that this game is "Too Hard" and "A mess of menus". They are right! But for gamers who enjoy a challenge and massive RPG format style this is the game for you. A gripping story with loveable characters, favorites from other famous games, a brand-new style of battle and field play, all of these make Cross Edge one for the history books.
If you cannot handle long drawn out cut-scenes or difficult battle simulations then this may not be the game for you. But if you think you can handle it then push through and cross the edge!!
