Perfect

The title says it all, wow. This game has to be in my top 10 favorite games of ALL TIME. This game is truly amazing for both final fantasy players and for people that have never played the series. This is a prequel to the Playstation 1 classic Final Fantasy VII (7). Final Fantasy VII is a "off track" Final Fantasy game that has nothing to do with 1-6 so this game is perfect if you have never played the series.
Graphics: 9(great for psp graphics)
Gameplay: 10!!! (awesome timeless gameplay)
Battle System: 9 (auto aim is on so you cannot just hit random people it is set on the 1 closest to you)
Music: 10 (as all Final Fantasy music)
Controls: 10 (easy to get used to maybe 20-30 minutes?)
Overall: 9.6 (rounded up to a 10)

Excellent

final fantasy 7 for real

i gotta tell ya after playing some of the other ff7 spin-offs i was skeptical at best of the quality of this game, i was wrong. crisis core had that final fantasy 7 feel from the moment the credits rolled. the story was both gripping and touching, the play mechanics took some getting used to at first but after a bit it was like we were old friends. i would recommend this title to any final fantasy fan but its a must have for fans of final fantasy 7 specifically. PS- after the end credits rolled, i almost wet my pants, living legacy indeed.

Perfect

I was a little worried before I played this game

When i first heard of this game i was concerned that It would not live up to the original. Advent Children was ok at best and Dirge of Cerberus was garbage, but Crisis Core is amazing. I have not played as good of a game in a long time, and that is saying quite a bit. It took me roughly seventeen hours of gameplay to finish it and thats because i only completed around 20% of the side missions. The gameplay itself worried me a bit too before i played it as i enjoyed the older fashioned final fantasies myself, but even still i have had a lot of fun with this game.

Do yourself a favor, if you have a psp get this game.
