Insulting

This movie is an appalling disservice to people in general and the people of Los Angeles in particular. Far from delivering a balanced, realistic depiction of race relations in LA, "Crash" seems to go out of its way to insult everybody, portraying each ethnic group at its most paranoid and least tolerant. The elitists in Hollywood might see "Crash" as a much needed study on race relations in modern American society, but out in the real world where real people live, we're getting along with each other pretty well. It's true that prejudice is never going to be eradicated completely, but I believe our society has reached a point where the vast majority of us reject racism and bigotry. "Crash", on the other hand, would lead any casual observer to the impression that we're out there wallowing in it.
