The racing aspect of this game is actually pretty fun and I love the morphing ability, since you can choose who and if you want to combine against all other players. However, unless your a fan of the Crash games the general gameplay is lacking. Your goal is always the same no matter what world you get to. Gain enough coins to buy the gems, then enough gems to open the launchpad to get the big gem. There are no bosses to fight anymore and it's actually playing like a 3D Donkey Kong. Run up the level to get to the top. If they had made the game to where you would start out in a circuit and have to gain certain coins based on your place to move on, it would of been better. I guess alot of it is that I was never really into the previous Crash games and enjoy racing more. My wife loved the Crash games, but even found this game to be lacking in general direction and enjoyment. Overall I'd have to say rent NFS: Most Wanted if your wanting a racing game,or get a good Mario Kart Double Dash game, they seem to have the character racing perfected.
