John Constantine (Keeanu Reeves) was born with a remarkable gift, the ability to see the half-angels and half-devils that walk the earth. Unable to withstand the torture of this vision, he attempts suicide, journeying to hell before being revived against his will. Having offended heaven by trying to take his own life, Constantine, living on borrowed time, now stalks the borders between heaven and hell as a supernatural detective. He hopes that by sending enough of the devil's minion's back to hell, he'll return to heaven's good graces and find his own salvation. If not, he'll face an eternity of damnation.
